Forefront on foot set 1

Forefront is the designation assigned to the Novan Elites assault troops, there are many configurations of assault squads, on foot, mechanised and with jump packs all variously armed. This particular formation consists of Forefront troopers on foot with small arms (pistols) supported by troopers with heavy grenade launchers capable of firing numerous grenade types.

Set contains:

4 x Sergeants with high power plasma pistols

8 x Grenade launcher operators

Skinners – Skinook Heavy Transport Chopper

The Skinook is a very basic some would say crude twin rotary wing aircraft used extensively by the Skinners to transport both troops and equipment around the battlefield. It is lightly armed but extremely rugged and is usually escorted by dedicated gunships capable of engaging both air and ground targets in its defence. The passengers sit in the open sided main cabin and have been known to add their own small arms fire to the aircrafts defence. A rear drop down ramp allows for easy loading of cargo and light vehicles like bikes.

Armament is usually twin heavy machine guns mounted in the nose and a door mounted light machine gun to port and starboard, but other armaments have been observed.

This set contains:

1 x fuselage

2 x rotors

1 x rear ramp

1 x passenger cabin roof

1 x cargo hook (can be used to hide the flight stand recess)

1 x chin HMG mount

4 x landing skids

2 x Gobblers door gunners

1 x Skinners passenger group and 2 x Gobblers door gunners

Note: The rotors have been cast with supporting sprue sections between the rotor fins themselves to aid casting, these need to be carefully snipped away.

Quand je vois cet hélico, j'ai "Good morning Vietnam" dans la tête... Pis aussi la chevauchée des Walkyries... Pis du napalm aussi tiens... ^^

Inspiré du "vrai" Chinook, un hélico lourd de transport ricain ( qui a emprunté son nom à un vent qui souffle depuis les Montagnes Rocheuses).
Voilà, c'était la minute culturelle...

La figurine est sympa mais personnellement je trouve que c'est trop humain moderne pour passer pour de l'Ork de W40k (même si les Skinners ne sont pas officiellement des Orks bien entendu ^^). C'est un peu le problème que j'ai avec l'ensemble des volants Skinners d'ailleurs...

A new venture for vanguard miniatures today sees the release of the first in hopefully a long line of 3D resin printed products.
The first releases are all terrain related, my old medium landing pad and heavy bunker previously available as resin casts, and two new products, a small balcony set and outrigger landing pad to enhance your building models.

Building Small Outrigger Landing Pad (6mm)

A small landing pad that can be added to the side of a building or other structure.

Notes:

Model is 3D resin printed.
Print supports have been removed but some clean up may be required.
Model has been hollowed so hole filling may be required.

Novan – Heavy Ordnance Defence Redoubt (6mm)

The Novan heavy ordinance defence bunker can be found all across Tusculum Nova typically guarding the approaches to cities, starports and military installations. Variably armed and often found in mutually supporting positions alongside other defensive measures and garrisoned by a least a platoon of infantry these bunkers have proven there worth during countless conflicts.
